Cabinet Secretary of Economic Development Fred Mondragon Along

ENMR•Plateau
recently approved funding from the “Nuestros Vecinos-Our Neighbors”
Grant fund to the El Valle Water Alliance; the alliance consists of
12 water associations. Attending from ENMR is Director of Economic
Development Raymond Mondragon and ENMR board member Milo Aragon.



Cabinet Secretary
of Economic Development Fred Mondragon presented an appreciation
award to CEO Tom Phelps for ENMR•Plateau’s involvement in rural
economic development initiatives. Secretary Mondragon also toured
ENMR•Plateau Headquarters in Clovis during an October visit.

ENMR•Plateau’s
Director of Economic Development Raymond Mondragon gave a
presentation to the fall training NTCA conference attendees in
Denver, CO. A majority of the attendees were cooperative board
members and coop CEO’s and General Managers. The conference was held
September 17, 18, 19th.

ENMR•Plateau’s
Director of Economic Development Raymond Mondragon makes a

The City of Clovis
was presented the 2007 New Mexico Governor’s Award for iIt’s
advancements and successes in the area of Economic Development. The
presentation was made on September 27th at the Albuquerque Hyatt
Hotel during the Governor’s Economic Summit. Present to receive the
award was Mayor David Lansford and other dignitaries of the City of
Clovis.

Patriot Outdoors Awarded Grant

On August 17, 2007, Patriot Outdoors President, Stephen Powell, accepted a grant check for $10,000 presented by Jeff Moore, Chief Operations Officer for ENMR Plateau. Earlier in the year, Patriot Outdoors applied for a matching Grant through the Nuestro Vecinos “Our Neighbors” Grant program. The purpose of this grant program is to provide more opportunities for rural business to develop and succeed. The grant money will be used for further facility development.

New Mexico Cabinet
Secretary Fred Mondragon, Assistant Secretary Stuart Paisano and
Director of Area Economic Development for ENMR•Plateau and
Chairman of the New Mexico Partnership Board of Directors Raymond
Mondragon met with Clayton, NM community and elected officials to
discuss rural economic development initiatives. Secretary Mondragon
praised Clayton officials for their on-going efforts on addressing
rural economic development.

ENMR•Plateau Director of Area Economic Development Raymond Mondragon addresses a group of Economic Developers in Nashville, TN. at a Rural Economic Development Conference. NTCA invited Mondragon to be a speaker at the March 2007 Conference. Mondragon spoke on Rural Economic Development Initiatives and Private and Public Partnerships.

The Northeast NM Detention facility in Clayton/Union County is Progressing very well. ENMR•Plateau was a partner in assisting Clayton Officials to make this happen. It will employ about 200 people in this Rural community.

ENMR•Plateau Director of Economic Development Raymond Mondragon addresses the Wing Commanders Wing Staff and makes presentations to the CAFB honor Guard for the participation in this year’s Pioneers’ Day Parade. ENMR•Plateau’s civic involvement is important to the company’s mission

ENMR•Plateau Director of Area Economic Development also serves as the Chairman of the Board for the New Mexico Economic Development Partnership Which is the recruiting arm for businesses to locate in New Mexico, signs a Joint Powers Agreement with Cabinet Secretary Fred Mondragon on Funding from the NM State Legislature.

ENMR•Plateau Director of Area Economic Development Raymond Mondragon, Area Manager Bruce Scott and ENMR•Plateau board member Shirley Carter met with Clayton and Union County elected officials over lunch to discuss company operations in the area. A presentation was made by COO-Jeff Moore at an evening meeting.

ENMR•Plateau Director of Area Economic Development Raymond Mondragon
joined actor-director Mel Gibson at the Tamaya Resort for a private
dinner and celebration. Gibson was a partner in the Green Rubber
Global Operations being located in Albuquerque, NM with the first
plant being built in Gallup, NM. Mondragon was in Albuquerque for
the announcement. The NM Partnership played a very important role in
the project. Lt. Governor Diane Denish was also in attendance
ENMR•Plateau Director of Area Economic Development presents a check For $10,000.00 to Mario Gonzales of the La Sombra Farms.LLC Greenhouse Project in Mills, NM. Mr. Gonzales will be growing sweet basil and tomatoes he hopes to employ employees from the Roy Municipal School System.


The Chill N Grill Restaurant has been open in Roy, NM in less than a year. ENMR•Plateau “Nuestros Vecionos-Our Neighbors” grant was able to assist the restaurant by providing grant funds. The restaurant also created five jobs to the small rural community.

A large turnout in
Santa Rosa for the dedication of the new softball complex Director
of Area Economic Development for ENMR•Plateau co-sponsored the
event.

Mayor & NM State
Representative Jose Campos dedicate the new softball Complex at a
ceremony in Santa Rosa on May 12, 2007. ENMR•Plateau was A sponsor
of the event.

ENMR•Plateau
Director of Area Economic Development serves As the Master of
Ceremonies for the un-earthing of the City of
Clovis time capsule that was buried in 1957. The event was held On
April 13, 2007 with over 100 people in attendance.

A Tornado caused
extensive damage to the village of Logan in March Several homes and
vehicles were heavily damaged as depicted in this Photograph.

Mondragon. The funds were approved by the ENMR•Plateau Board of
Directors Under the “Nuestros Vecinos-Our Neighbors” grant fund. The
funds were for disaster Assistance.
ENMR•Plateau Board members Shafie
Hindi and Milo Aragon presented a check for $5,000.00 to the Village
of Encino, NM. Present to receive the check was Mayor Gordy Phillips
and members of the Village Trustees and staff. The funds will be
used to make much needed repairs to the Encino Community Room. The
Village of Encino recently housed about twenty five (25) travelers
during the snow storm that came through New Mexico.
ENMR•Plateau takes pride in the communities that is served by ENMR. “We value Relationships” with our area communities.
ENMR•Plateau Board members Shafie
Hindi and Milo Aragon presented a check for $5,000.00 to the Town of
Vaughn and the Vaughn Municipal Schools for a community sign to be
shared by both entities. Attending the presentation were Lorena
Garcia Vaughn Schools Superintendent, Mayor Paul Madrid, Councilor
Pat Maes, School Board President Louis Gauna and other members of
the school board.
Everyone's Federal Credit Union in
Vaughn ENMR•Plateau Board members Milo Aragon and Shafie Hindi stand
in front of the recently installed ATM Machine at the ENMR•Plateau
retail store in Vaughn, NM. The Credit Union is scheduled to open
early February.

ENMR•Plateau Board member Jim Lyssy and Director of Area Economic
Development Raymond Mondragon present a check to members of the
Chamber of Commerce and Friends of the Bosque Memorial for $5,000.00
to assist with the Anne Frank Exhibit that will be brought to the
Bosque Memorial in Ft. Sumner. For more information on the exhibit

At the January 9th 2007 Santa Rosa
City Council meeting, Raymond Mondragon, Director of Area Economic
Development along with ENMR•Plateau Board members Walt Eastland and
Mabel Flores attended the Council meeting and presented “Nuestros
Vecinos-Our Neighbors” grants funds to assist in the Main Street
Project and fencing for the playground equipment at the Head- start
Program facilities. The Mayor and also State Representative Jose
Campos along with the City Council members applauded ENMR•Plateau
for the support and the relationship that the City of Santa Rosa has
with ENMR•Plateau.
